Starting at the ground level as a manufacturer of rubber floor mats in 1908, the Home Comfort Group has evolved over more than 90 years into a leading manufacturer and marketer of mattresses, pillows, foam and carpet underlay in Australia and New Zealand. The Home Comfort Group has manufacturing operations in Australia, New Zealand and a joint venture in Malaysia which manufactures mattresses.
Each year, Pacific Brands makes enough foam to fill the Melbourne Cricket Ground from pitch to roofline, and enough carpet underlay to cover 10 square kilometres – that’s over 550 MCGs.
Sleepmaker is one of Australia’s best known bedding brands, Dunlopillo have been creating luxurious latex pillows and matresses for over 70 years, and Pacific Brands have also introduced Serta to Australia, America’s favourite mattress. |

One of the milesones achieved by Tontine this year was its 50th Year Anniversary.
In 2005 Pacific Brands acquired leading Bed linen and towel Brand - Sheridan. Sheridan's two iconic brands, Sheridan and Actil are the number one and two consumer brands in the premium bed linen market in Australia. Sheridan is also a leading brand in the pillow, quilts and towel cateogries. In 2006 to create the 'Whole of Bedroom' concept Pacific Brands also acquired Peri. |
